Description
This is a rough concept I had for a female Chiss character for a Star Wars RPG campaign. I posted this originally on SWAG and there was a bit of a controversy over her being dressed inappropriately for a Chiss, as they are a more conservative race and hail from an ice planet. My feeling, however, is that characters are more interesting when they work against stereotypes. There are a million possibilities for why she might not act and dress like a typical Chiss.

I don't understand why people think that someone from a cold climate would dress warmly all the time, you see that in alot of things, like in the Avatar series Katara and Sokka go around in furs all the time. Speaking as a Canadian I can say it's just the opposite, if you're from a cold climate then you get used to it and get hot in temperatures people from moderate to warm climates would find comfortable or even chilly. The opposite is of course true for people from warm places getting cold when in what someone from a moderate to cold climate would call comfortable. So yeah, it makes more sense for her to be dressed in a single layer than in a big heavy coat or something.
